The theatrical run of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ has officially come to an end. The pan-Indian film which was released on 25th March created a huge euphoria. The movie turned out to be the biggest opener in India by grossing 223 crores on the first day itself. Within a few weeks, the movie crossed 1100 crores at the box office. It got 250+ crores in the Hindi market alone.
The film created a huge sensation and the performances of both the star heroes Ram Charan and NTR turned out to be the film’s biggest assets. Rajamouli’s unparalleled vision and his hunger for perfection made this film end up as the third-highest collecting film in the history of Indian cinema.
Now that the theatrical run has come to an end, the film is all set to arrive in the OTT market. Well-known online streaming platform ‘ZEE5’ bought the digital rights for a humongous prize. It acquired the streaming rights of all the South Indian languages and fans are eagerly waiting for it. There were a lot of rumors which claimed that ‘RRR’ may be released on a pay-per-view basis.
But those rumors have been put to rest as the ZEE5 team officially announced that ‘RRR’ will be premiering in all South Indian languages on 20th May. Fans are pretty excited and they cannot wait to watch this marvelous film on their home screens and mobile phones.
‘RRR’ is produced by DVV Danayya over a budget of over 400 crores. The lead actors delivered stupendous performances and MM Keeravani is the music composer who is one of the main pillars in the film’s success. Alia Bhatt is playing the role of Sita in this film while Ajay Devgn appears in a brief role. Olivia Morris is also a part of the film and she looked very cute.
Apart from a few noted Hollywood actors, ‘RRR’ has actors like Shriya Saran, Rajeev Kanakala, Samuthirakani and others did key roles. NTR will be seen as Komaram Bheem while Ram Charan plays the role of Alluri Seetha Ramaraju in this massive film which is set in the backdrop of the pre-Independence era. Both of them are enjoying the humongous success of this pan-Indian film. Senthil Kumar is the director of photography while Sabu Cyril is the production designer. Srinivas Mohan is the VFX supervisor for this huge project. Rama Rajamouli is the costume designer.
